Happy 2010 ~~

2010 arrived very quietly here in our neck of New England. I think we were in bed by 9:30. We get up early and it's been a busy few days. The snow started yesterday about noon and it's been snowing on and off since then. It's so peaceful today - toasty woodstoves, all the animals snugged up, generator is ready should we lose power. Let it snow!

One of my goals for the new year was to create a website for the farm. I'm not super computer savvy and I needed something that wouldn't frustrate me to the point I'd give up. I've played that game a time or two. I found I-page today. Really, really easy to use. Very beginner friendly and inexpensive.

Our new page is http://www.tylerfarmhomestead.com I am so excited. I worked on this all day and published it about 10 minutes ago. It's bare bones right now but I'll post more photos and content, especially what's in the shop tomorrow. I'm tired. It's really easier doing barn chores all day than it is to set at this computer!
If you have a chance to take a look, please let me know what you think. Your comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
~Have a great weekend~

I am a quiet follower of your blog and enjoy it immensely. Checked out the new website and I think it looks great--would be interested in knowing what type of software you used.

I will look and give you a comment soon. Good for you, like you I am not all that computer savvy either! As soon as I get my towels done I want to set up a etsy shop maybe or I might do a sight for the shop! Good luck!

I've been a lurker here for most of the past year & love reading all about life on your farm! My fiance and I are finishing up the renovations on our house so we can sell, & then buy a farm of our own. :)

The website looks fantastic, too! One thing that really stood out for me, though, is that the Goats/Sheep for Sale tab is the only one that has the body text all in white. I know from years of writing reports & proofreading documents how hard it is to spot stuff like that after you've been working on it and staring at it for hours - my eyes just go right past it like it doesn't even exist! :)

Hope that helps, and keep up the fantastic work!

Happy New Year, Deb.

We were in bed by 9:00, I think as usual for New year's eve.
The snow looks pretty but I can't imagine having it down here. I wouldn't be as calm about it as you are.

I can't wait to look at your new website.

Hi Deb, I just popped in for a peek and took a look at your other site... looks perfect! Not overdone with graphics, nor underdone either!! Your little store is cute and makes me want to visit! (All you need is a goat with a cart... lol)
Thanks for sharing your endeavors- they are impressive!
