Restful sundays.....

~The ewes on a lazy sunday ~
Thank you for all your wonderful comments and words of encouragement......I made it through my oral surgery just fine on friday and now have a few less teeth. I honestly think having two weeks to fret about it was worse than the actual procedure.
I was a nervous wreck and worked myself into a full blown migraine before I ever got there. I've spent the weekend recuperating and my headache has finally let up. The gums aren't terribly sore and the swelling has been minimal. Hopefully all will be back to normal soon and I can eat real food again :)
It has rained all weekend long and today the wind has been blowing hard. It was 60 degrees when I got up this morning~ Our temps are expected to drop quickly and stay cold for the rest of the week with snow showers. Such flip flop weather we have been having.
It was a good weekend to be inside. The family was all home and we gathered in the livingroom this afternoon and watched a movie together. Not something we do often and I really appreciate our together time. I worked on a knitted christmas project, had a nice hot cup of tea and relaxed :)
Hope you all had a good weekend.

Glad everything turned out all right and that you had such a pleasant time with your family....those are sure the times to treasure, aren't they?

Good to hear all went well! Last night our area had a mini-snow blizzard but all was gone by morning! Lake effect snow is in the making for tonight. I had a fire going all day & graded papers....sounds like you also had a restful day....I am not mentally ready for the winter season:(

We have been using the wood stove for some time now, but the weather is holding so we can get the corn in. Once the corn is in we will fence the place and let the cows have the run of everything.

Hope you are feeling better. Wisdome teeth are a big deal to remove.

I also have a fear of dentists. You are right though, the thought of it is worse than the actually procedure.
I am glad you doing alright.
We had a good rain(finally). Now we are expecting tomorrow night to be around 25 degrees! That is cold.

The ewes photo is wonderful. Happy you had some good family time.

Take care and have a great day.

threecollie,
thanks :) Yes - nothing like time spent with family!

kristi,
thank you. I'm not really ready for winter yet either but I don't think we have a choice :) Snowshowers predicted for us the next couple of days and cold.....

far side of fifty,
Thanks :) I'm sure glad I don't have to go through that again!

linda,
I'm so glad you are able to get your corn in....I can imagine that's such a worry. You will have happy cows!

The gums are healing but sore....makes for a cranky me :(

pam,
Thanks :) Wow...25 degrees, isn't that unsually cold for GA? So glad you got the rain you needed. We are getting our fall rains. Makes for muddy barnyards but it's a relief to know we won't be dry in the spring.

Take care ~
